Smartphones Blamed for Increase in Porn Consumption

Smartphones have been blamed for the worldwide increase in porn consumption.

Telecomms experts from the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) have said that the increased consumption is fuelling porn addiction and that the problem is not restricted by geography.

A statement from the company cited by christianpost.com said: “Of the top mobile websites accessed through mobile handsets last month, dozens of them were sexually explicit.

“With advanced technologies an increasing number of smartphone users are accessing porn sites, which brings forth the problem of addiction.”

The rise in mobile phone porn consumption is reportedly rising to the point where heavy bandwidth may soon affect traffic of mobile phone operators.

The KCC has requested one local carrier SK Telecom to shut its adult-only service but are unable to influence the majority of carriers because they are based overseas.

Xbiz.com report that a quarter of British men have used their smartphones to access pornography whilst one in six use the device to flirt with ‘potential partners’ when they are already in a exclusive relationship.

Furthermore, a fifth of the survey’s respondents admitted they have potentially embarrassing content on their smartphone with one in ten admitting that they had racy photos stored in their phones memory.

It’s not just men storing naughty content either. The survey also indicated that almost two thirds of British women are hiding text messages from their partner.
