Third Porn Star Accuses James Deen of Sexual Assault

NY Daily News

The porn star accused of sexually assaulting three of his costars has a long history of making inappropriate jokes about rape.

James Deen’s Twitter account is filled with insensitive quips about sexual assault and casual references to rape.

“It’s not rape if you yell surprise,” he wrote in 2009. He tweeted the same punchline twice more, in 2011 and 2012.

Deen — who was one hailed as porn’s “feminist” sweetheart for encouraging discussion about sexual consent and diversity in the adult entertainment industry — has been accused of sexually assaulting three of his costars.

THIRD ADULT ACTRESS ACCUSES JAMES DEEN OF SEXUAL ASSAULT

Porn star James Deen joked about rape on Twitter years before three of his co-stars accused him of sexual assault.

His ex-girlfriend and fellow adult entertainment star Stoya tweeted the first accusations Saturday.

“That thing where you log in to the internet for a second and see people idolizing the guy who raped you as a feminist. That thing sucks,” the 29-year-old wrote. “James Deen held me down and f–ked me while I said no, stop, used my safeword.”

Tori Lux and Ashley Fires came forward shortly after with their own harrowing stories of sexual assault. Lux said Deen grabbed her throat and hit her in 2011 after she refused to “sniff his testicles” during a porn shoot. Fires claimed Deen attacked her after she took a shower after shooting a scene.

Adult film actresses (from left) Stoya, Tori Lux and Ashley Fires have publicly accused James Deen of sexual assault.

It’s unclear if Stoya or Fire reported the alleged attacks. Lux said she did not report the assault out of fear.

Deen has denied the allegations.

“I respect women and I know and respect limits both professionally and privately,” he tweeted Sunday.

But the new social media message stands in stark contrast with his previous tweets.

“It’s not rape if you yell surprise… then it’s a party,” he tweeted in 2012.

The term “rape” showed up in a slew of Deen’s other tweets. Sometimes, he joked about wanting to be raped — and sometimes he tweeted about raping. “Do they make candy hearts that say ‘rape me’???” he wrote on Valentine’s Day 2011.

“I’m going to get off this plane and go rape a stuffed animal until it crys!!!!” he tweeted days later.

“i will get you pregnant while you sleep,” he wrote in 2014.

Other times, Deen used the word to jokingly describe things other than sexual assault.
